4 Classification Methods of Trucks

Lorries, also known as trucks, refer to cars used to transport goods, as well as cars that can tow other vehicles. They are relative to passenger cars and are a type of commercial vehicle. The classification of trucks is due to their various types and forms, and there are many classification methods. This article only lists a few common classification methods.

According to Tonnage

Trucks can be divided into: micro trucks (total mass <1.8 tons), light trucks (1.8 tons <total mass ≤ 6 tons), medium trucks (6.0 tons <total mass ≤ 14 tons), heavy trucks (total mass> 14 Ton).

Total quality: the weight of the vehicle itself plus the maximum cargo quality allowed by the manufacturer when the vehicle is in operation.

The combined two wheels are counted as one wheel, and one axle is counted as two wheels.

Divide the two numbers by 2 respectively, which is the number of automobile axles and the number of drive axles. For example, 6×4 means that the car has 3 axles, two of which are drive axles.
